What is actually happening to RuneMate
The announcement is short and final. RuneMate remains usable until 7 August 2026, after which it will no longer be available. Subscriptions were cancelled by RuneMate rather than by users, so there is no action required to stop being billed. Account data can be edited or deleted from Account Settings before the shutdown, and RuneMate Vault used zero-knowledge local encryption, so sensitive information stored there was never held server-side in readable form.
RuneMate is not an isolated case. Over 2026 the same thing happened to PowBot, TriBot, Storm and Inubot, and DreamBot paused all sales and renewals in August 2026 while it takes legal advice.
What to do before 7 August
- Export anything you need. Scripts, configurations and account notes stored in RuneMate go away with the site. Once profiles are inaccessible there is no support channel to recover them from.
