Work out the XP you need, how many bows that is, and how many hours it will actually take — then see what the same hours are worth if a bot does them instead. Pick a method once; both calculators follow it.
XP per action is fixed by the game. XP per hour assumes roughly 1,300 actions an hour standing at a bank — treat it as a planning figure, not a promise. Tap a card to switch method.
Every figure above assumes you are at the keyboard for all of it. Fletching is withdraw, click, bank, repeat — standing in one spot for a hundred and thirty hours — which is exactly the kind of thing that does not need a person doing it.

Old School RuneScape uses a fixed experience curve — each level needs roughly 10% more XP than the last. That is why level 92 is the halfway point to 99: 6,517,253 XP of the 13,034,431 needed.
The XP calculator takes the difference between your current and target level, divides by the XP per action to get the number of bows, and divides by the method's XP per hour to get the time. The profit calculator multiplies that method's GP per hour by your bot hours, converts at your gold rate, and subtracts bond and proxy costs.
Cutting and stringing are separate actions and each pays the same XP. A yew longbow is 75 for the cut and 75 for the string, so a finished bow is worth 150. Banking unstrung bows throws half of it away, which is why the script runs both halves in one loop.
Around 130–170 hours on bows. Yew longbows run about 97,500 XP an hour, so 99 from scratch is roughly 134 hours of clicking. Maple is slower at 172 hours, and bronze darts slower still at 290.
Of the methods here, stringing yew longbows at about 97,500 XP an hour. Darts are the fastest in the skill overall, but only at the higher tiers — bronze darts are only around 45,000 an hour, and every dart tier costs money rather than making it. Bows are what most people actually run.
Cutting a magic longbow is 91.5 XP, yew longbow 75, maple longbow 58.3 and willow longbow 41.5. Stringing pays the same again, so a yew longbow is worth 150 XP in total if you finish it.
Yes — each half is worth the same. That is why banking unstrung bows leaves half the experience on the table, and why the script does both halves in one loop.
Longbows at 10, 25, 40, 55, 70 and 85 for regular through magic. Shortbows five levels earlier each: 5, 20, 35, 50, 65 and 80.
13,034,431 XP from level 1. Level 92 is 6,517,253 — the halfway point in XP, not level 50.
On bows, modestly. Stringing yew longbows is the best of the four at around 320,000 GP an hour, which comfortably clears the bond. The margin between logs and finished bows is thin and moves weekly, so check the current spread before buying in bulk.
Buy them, or cut them. Woodcutting AI feeds this script directly, and running the pair trains two skills off one supply.
