What is the Gemstone Crab in OSRS?
A combat level 160 creature in the Tlati Rainforest in Varlamore with effectively infinite hitpoints and no defence at all. Its health bar is a timer rather than a damage meter, and when that timer runs out the top sixteen damage dealers get ninety seconds to mine its shell for three uncut gems each.
Why does the bot need to find the crab?
Because it moves between three mines roughly every ten minutes. That single mechanic is what stops Gemstone Crab being genuinely AFK for a person — you wander off, the crab relocates, and you come back an hour later having hit nothing. The script notices and goes to it.
Do I need a quest for Gemstone Crab?
Yes — Children of the Sun, which is the quest that unlocks Varlamore. After that, mining the shell needs only level 1 Mining and any pickaxe.
Is Gemstone Crab safe to bot?
About as safe as content gets. Its maximum hit is 1, it has no special attacks worth the name, and there is no wilderness or danger anywhere near it. Nothing about the fight can kill an account.
How does the loot work?
Only the top sixteen damage dealers may mine the shell, and they get ninety seconds to do it. Each person who qualifies takes three random uncut gems, anywhere from opal to dragonstone. That is why special attacks and combat potions matter here more than at ordinary AFK spots.
Is the XP rate good?
You earn 87.5% of normal combat experience — 12.5% less per hit. In exchange the crab has zero defence, so every hit lands, and you need almost no supplies. For unattended training that trade is usually worth taking.
Will my account get banned?
The script plays the official game client — nothing injected, nothing hooked, no game memory read — so the most common technical reason accounts get caught simply is not there.
